We have extensive experience repairing awnings from many different suppliers. That gives us an insight into the quality and reliability of the awnings. We simply choose the best for our customers. That isn’t to say others aren’t great… it’s just our professional choice based on a multitude of factors. We love satisfied customers, so we always strive to provide the best awnings and service possible.
Weinor includes a very large range and approximately 4-week delivery. They have a decent range of fabrics too*. Base has a smaller range, but can deliver very quickly in the UK, so are a good choice if you are in a hurry! *The BASE fabric range uses fabrics from Dickson and this is extensive. We often add a BASE fabric choice to a Weinor awning. It’s the best of both Worlds! Basically, chat to us for the perfect combination to suit your needs.

What’s the process? Here’s a summary of what to expect.
We had an awning that in the high winds got blown and was then misaligned. We e-mailed several companies and Shade that Works responded immediately. We arranged a date for them to come having had a quote for the call-out and inspection. They kept us updated throughout and arrived on time on the day agreed. They were very polite and having looked at the awning it had to be taken off the wall and re-positioned. This was over and above the original quote and obviously took longer than anticipated. They also adjusted the wind sensor for us which again was extra work. There was no extra charge for the work carried out over the original quote. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. They are efficient, helpful and their work is excellent.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

AWNING CONTROL
Whether you live in a sunny spot in Surrey, a breezy spot on the South Downs or in a cherished home in town, you will want total control over your new awning. We offer a variety of control units with Weinor awnings and also controls for BASE awnings. With the Weinor units you can not only control the operation of your awning (in/out) but also any lighting and heating you might have added as an accessory. The smart home is here! That might mean a simple controller with one click to open/close, or something more dynamic. We can advise on awning control based on your choice of awning and specific requirements. There’s just too much choice!
AWNING WEATHER SENSORS
It’s not always wall-to-wall sunshine in Surrey and sometimes the wind picks up too! We have it covered with a large range of accessories covering sun, wind speed and rain detection, either as a combined unit or choose just one sensor as you wish. If the wind picks up beyond the safe threshold and you happen to be out, then the awning will automatically close protecting itself from damage. Clever stuff!

AWNING HEATING SYSTEMS
Small heater – BIG output! When the evenings start to get a bit chilly in Surrey you can extend your outside time under your perfect awning with one of our heating systems. These vary in design depending on your needs, but enough to say they are small, but have a very large output when it comes to effective heating. With infrared technology warms up you, and not the air in-between saving your money compared to conventional heaters like gas. The result is you get heat immediately when you switch them on. Perfect!

Yes you can have many items that augment your patio awning, from dynamic LED lighting, to heaters, remote controlled motor fittings (often as standard) to tilt and fitting adjustments and weather monitors. We can take you through the options based on the patio awnings that would best suit your property and size required.
Yes! Most of the awnings we fit or repair either need a new electricity supply, or a supply that needs to be upgraded. We have many years of experience with all things electrical and mechanical associated with awnings. You are in safe hands for a complete efficient and friendly service.
The likely answer is ‘no problem’. We have a range of Gutter Brackets and brackets that will enable us to lift the awning up above the gutter or out from the tiles of your home. Houses come in all shapes and sizes, so if you have an unusual set of circumstances or just aren’t sure whether something will work, then start the process and get in touch to find out. Our contact form includes a handy area to send us a picture or two. These are really helpful for us so we can give expert advice so please use them. Don’t worry, with such an extensive range, it’s very rare to find a property that isn’t suitable for a patio awning.
With such a wide variety of awnings available, it is very likely we can find many awnings to fit the space you have. The best way to start the process is to get in touch so we can do a free site check.
An awning fitted at a 15-degree pitch will self-drain rainwater from the surface. If it is windy refer to the wind class of your awning which will let you know which wind speed the awning is rated for. Many awnings can include a wind speed monitor which will automatically close the awning if the wind speed gets too gusty. Fabrics vary and offer light rain protection. In practice, this means all sorts of weather, but we can advise on the limitations of your awning fabric choice. Guarantees do not cover your awning if left open during weather outside its operational rating.
This is actually the hardest bit when purchasing a new awning, or re-covering an existing installation. We offer two enormous ranges of fabrics; one from Weinor and the other from Dickson. Both long-established top-of-the-range awning fabric suppliers with 171 and 340 fabrics to choose from respectively. Don’t worry! We can help!
We do charge for call-outs. However, we normally try to fix the problem on-site within this cost if it is something quite simple. If we need to get parts, then we will count your call-out as a site survey and then send a quotation with all the information.

No planning permission is required, if you are a commercial building and you are having the awning sign written then it will come under signage regulation. If you would like sound advice, then please get in touch.
No we carry our all the work ourselves.
We offer both manual crank operated and motorised awnings, and repair both types of awning.

Yes you can. We have a range of bracketing options which are specially tailor made to enable us to fit an awning securely onto you wall.
Measure the width of the fabric and the projection then add 30mm (3cm) to the projection of the awning. This will be your cover size.
