Shade That Works comprises a two-man team with over 37 years of experience working within the awning installation and repair industry across Surrey and surrounding counties. Over the years we have installed and repaired all manner and makes of awnings with mechanical and electrical issues to complete motor replacements.  We can fix motors, awning and canopy mechanisms, awning and canopy fixings, and recover fabric shade with a very large variety of fabric choices.

What to Expect from Shade That Works

At Shade That Works we like to make awning repair and installation as simple as possible for you.  There are only three or four stages to every repair / installation:

1. You send us some information and we get in touch (see our form below)
2. We often need to do a site visit to accurately check the problem (but not always). Read more…
3. We send you a written estimate for the cost of the repair which will also include timings
4. We visit with parts/materials and complete the repair/installation based on our quote

Motor/electrical/mechanical issues

Send a photo of the awning and its positioning on the building and brief description of the awning issue and we will be able to talk through possible solutions and give a written estimate to costs. If need be we will come to you and investigate the problem. We will then send you a written quotation. Once you have placed the order we will give you an estimated installation date. We cover a wide variety of awning repairs in Surrey and surrounding areas including the need for repaired or replacement awning motors, awning electrical problems, awning receivers, awning switches, awning handsets, or awning sensors (wind, temperature, weather etc). We also cover repair or replacement of awning lights and awning heaters. In addition to electrical items, we are experts at sorting out mechanical issues including awning fixings, brackets and fittings. Basically everything!

Re-covers

When it comes to awning fabrics and awning covers, often you simply need to replace them. The most complicated part to this is choice. You have a lot of choice! But re-covering your awning or sun-shade will make it look band new again. We can advise on the process, choices, costs and expectations for all awning and sun-shade re-covers. Send a photo of the awning positioning on the building (with details of make and model if known) with rough existing cover size, we will give an estimate for the replacement cover. This is followed by a site survey where we will take the measurements and we will bring fabric samples for you to choose your new cover. A written quotation will then follow, once you have placed the order we will give you an estimated installation time.

New awnings

Give an estimated size of the awning you require and send a photo of the area and the wall on which you would like it installed. We can give you an estimated price, we will then arrange to come and do a site survey and firm up the details giving you a written quotation. Once you have ordered the awning we will give you an estimated installation date.
